In the age of the blog, where biases and pretentiousness can be expressed with merely the click of a mouse, it can be hard, even impossible, to set your blog apart from the thousands of other equally douchebagish (that's right, I just made up a word) blogs. That being said, some sites have managed to present halfway decent material and insight for us select few who are lucky enough to be able to appreciate the subtleties of good blogging and indie music. Unfortunately, Pablo Bunny is not one of those blogs.
Let's start with the title of the blog itself. This childish play on the 7th greatest album of all time (the previous six being every one of Radiohead's next releases) is borderline sacrilege. How dare you Chris Baker for making a mockery of the greatest band to ever walk the planet. Baker's half-hearted attempt at creating a clever title for his so-called "indie" blog will undoubtedly turn off anyone who has ever finished OK Computer and thought they may have heard the voice of God.
Pablo Bunny's first post was a track by the blogs author, Chris Baker. Talk about derivative. This poorly produced track rips off everyone from Lou Reed to Mozart, and everyone in between. I guess someone forget to tell Mr. Baker that all the creative band names were taken ever since Clap Your Hands Say Yeah hit the scene with their hilariously clever moniker. "Yig Yig." Really? Get Real.
On day two of this train wreck of a blog, Pablo Bunny posts a hardly news worthy mp3 of the San Francisco hipster favorites, Deerhoof, covering the Beatles White Album classic, "The Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill." Pablo Bunny then goes on to claim that the Deerhoof version is superior to the original Beatles version. That's right folks, the geniuses over at Pablo Bunny think that Deerhoof are better than the Beatles. Enough said.
Recently, rumors have been swirling that this poor upstart blog will begin covering other pop culture outlets such as news and fashion. On one hand, Pablo Bunny could not possibly report on music any more poorly, so maybe they should try other ventures. On the other hand, does anyone really want to hear anything more from the all-around awful blog, Pablo Bunny? The answer is undoubtedly: no.
